Happy 2024 to you all – may this year be one of health and happiness for you.

Thank you so much for still following my writing journey. and for your unwavering support. If I’m quiet on here it means that things are happening behind the scenes and I just have to wait and not say anything until the final decision has been made – and throughout 2023, that decision by the publishers who took the time to read my manuscript (thank you so much) was unfortunately a no. The publishing industry moves so slowly, and I’m finding it hard to find a publisher who will suit and embrace my niche.

However, I will. never give up, and I’m excited to say that my manuscript is currently being read by the fiction and non-fiction editor of one of the Big 5 publishing companies. No news is good news, so far. If it is another no, then I’ll have to reassess my options and keep going. In the meantime, I’m working on my next novel which is also historical fiction. At the moment I’m knee-deep in research, which is lasting months, even though I have already written the contemporary timeline. I’m yet to have a title.

Hopefully I can check in again soon with some more positive news regarding my publishing journey. I hope you are digging your way through your TBR piles and thoroughly enjoying the joy that is reading.
